In February 1960, at a Fisher Junior College Alumnae Meeting, at Valle's Steak House in Massachusetts, a speaker on the subject of Graphoanalysis presented the Science of Handwriting Analysis to our group. It absolutely amazed me what was determined through a simple stroke of handwriting. I submitted my sample of handwriting for a small fee of $3.00 for what was entitled, "A Candid Shot". I can only tell you that it changed my life.
In June 1966, I joined the Connecticut Chapter of Graphoanalysts, after having been certified in the International Graphoanalysis Society, Inc. I have been a member ever since. Shortly thereafter, I volunteered myself for Assistant Program Chairperson in 1967. In 1968, I was elected to Publicity Chairperson. Then, in 1969, I was elected to the office of President of the Connecticut Chapter, finishing up my term in 1971. I attended monthly study group meetings and thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience, as well as the interaction of friends.
My credentials include Certification as a Graphoanalyst in December 1967; the recipient of President's Certificate of Merit Award in December 1981; the recipient of Individual Recognition Program Certificate in July 1983; and the 2016 Graphoanalyst of the Year.
From 1976 through present, I have taught the Introductory "8-Basic Steps" course at the Southington YMCA, Southington High School, St. Joseph University in West Hartford, Post Junior College, Briarwood College, Osher Lifeline Learning Institute (OLLI) at UCONN Branch in Waterbury, Connecticut, and several classes in my home. My presentations currently include Clubs; Church groups; and several organizations throughout the State of Connecticut, including Technical Schools, incoming Teachers at St. Thomas Jr. High School in Southington, and Real Estate Agents at Westledge Realtors in Avon. Public radio interviews include WGCH in Greenwich; WNTY in Southington; WBIS in Bristol, with Norma Plumb; WDRC in Hartford (on the Brad Davis Show for National Handwriting Day); and WWCO and WATR in Waterbury—all in Connecticut. I was interviewed on NHTV, North Haven, Connecticut, in August 2016, and on Community TV, Channel 191, Winsted, Connecticut, in September 2017.
My clients run the gamut of business and professional men and women, teachers, lawyers, secretaries, housewives, and mothers. Services that I cover are simple: Profile Analyses, General Analyses, Questioned Document Examination and Assessment, Instruction of 8 Basic Steps, Lecturing, and providing interpersonal relations among families, friends and business associates. I am also court qualified in the Bristol Superior Court, Bristol, Connecticut.
I currently freelance out of my home.
